Corporate headshots

Corporate headshot photographs look simple and straightforward but shooting the perfect picture isn’t that easy to do it by yourself. I will ensure that the headshots will be properly framed, properately exposed and uniformly presented if I’m photographing more than one person.

The importance of a professional portrait for any business today should not be underestimated. Whether you are a small business owner or large organisation, you want to show personality of your company, leave a good impression and gain trust. Corporate images serve multiple purposes and that’s why it is important that they can be used again and again. I can take the headshots against specified backdrops or use Photoshop to insert different backgrounds and retouch out minor imperfections.

Once lighting and background are in place, I can quickly take exclusive photographs of many staff in a single photographic session. Often my clients use my photos for their LinkedIn and other social media profiles. I’m experienced and good at putting clients at their ease during the photoshoots. Often even the shy models become enthousiastic after seeing the results.

A studio in your office

Achieving clear, consistent staff headshots when taken in your office and not in a studio needs specialist portable equipment. When on location, I will bring my our own compact studio system. This allows me to get the best possible lighting. I will concentrate myself on achieving required poses and expressions, so they look strong across a company’s team profile page.
It is also possible to organise a more casual photo shoot on location or outdoors. Before the session, I will share tips and make sure you’ll look your very best during the photoshoot.

Some things to consider

The size of the room where the headshot photography is to take place
For the shoot sufficient space is needed if possible and without bulky furniture. Sufficient space is needed to set up lights and backdrop for the subjects to be photographed. I would like to request to send me some photographs of the room in advance of the corporate photo shoot so that I can assess the décor, natural lighting, windows and furniture. Ideally, consider making time for me to recce the venue ahead of the photo shoot. This will save time on the day deciding on best angles, siting of lighting equipment and backdrops.

Decide on the backdrop colour for the headshots
If the photographs are going to be used against a plain colour in the future, then it is important to think about whether this will be white, grey or black. I will bring a black and white background to the photo shoot. With this background I can supply with a black, a white or a grey background. If you want another background, please let me know.

Scheduling the photography on the day
The amount of time required for the photo shoot will depend on the number of people to be photographed on the day. Time should be allowed when I arrive to set up all the equipment and take test shots. Allow 15 minutes per person for the headshots to be taken. An agreed schedule circulated to all the people having their corporate headshots taken and to the me in advance will aid the smooth running of the day and maximise time efficiency.

A makeup artist on the day
A makeup artist can help straighten hair, clothing and ties as well as makeup as requested. Unfortunately I do not supply this service.

How many corporate headshot photographs are required of each person?
That all depends on what you want. Some companies like a selection of photographs of each person from which they can choose after the photoshoot. Other businesses ask for the people being photographed to choose one photograph each. I will set up a laptop so that the corporate headshots can be viewed immediately and selected after being taken. The person photographed can choose the picture he of she likes best instantly.

The photos taken will be provided in an online -password protected- gallery from which you select the photos you like best. This will save you time, allowing images to be selected quickly.

What are the best formats for the final photographs?
All my corporate headshots are taken with a Canon 5D Full Frame camera as RAW files. Photos shot as RAW-files are of the highest quality. After the photo shoot these RAW-files will be checked and slightly altered so that colour, contrast and other details can be fine-tuned, and blemishes removed. The final photos will be delivered in high resolution jpeg files. These final images can be supplied as either colour or black and white photos to your wishes. No RAW files will be shared.

Photoshop ‘cutting out’ corporate headshots to replace backgrounds
For some companies the corporate headshots taken against a simple backdrop provide the basis of their final images. I can ‘cut out’ the selected headshots and place them on on pre-approved backgrounds which you can supply me with. This method means that the staff can appear to be in their usual workplace settings even though the day of the photoshoot it was not possible.

Resizing of the final photos
Corporate headshots can be used for many purposes e.g. for your company webpage but they can also be used for the individuals social media accounts like LinkedIn or Twitter accounts and of course on pitch documents. When I’m supplied with the dimensions for any media I can crop and resize the photo so that they will be ready to upload or print.

General terms

• You can make an online reservation via the reservation buttons for an appointment Monday to Thursday from 6PM till 9PM and Friday, Saturday or Sunday from 9AM to 9PM. If these times do not suit you, please contact me at my emailadres or by filling in my contact form and I will do my best to suit you;
• After the photo shoot you'll receive a link and a password to an online gallery with a large selection of photos. The photos in this online gallery are in low resolution and inclusive of a watermark;
• From the online gallery you'll select the photos you like best by marking them. I then will make some small improvements to the photos. After that you will receive the selected photos in high resolution and without watermark;
• Small improvements of the photo imply changes of colour, lightening and contrast. If you like the pictures can be (also) changed to black and white;
• You may use the photos as you like in a private setting (no copyrights). If you want to use the photos commercially, you'll always have to refer to eyecatcherphotography;
• Instant payment in cash or through online banking immediately after the photoshoot;
• An invoice will be emailed;
• Besides a colour photo you can choose for a black and white photo at only € 10,- per photo extra;
• Extra photos costs € 20,- per photo (including editing) for the first two photos and € 15,- per photo for three photos or more;
• Travel allowance: free for the first 20 kilometer (return). Extra kilometers: € 0,30 per kilometer;
• Exclusive of parking fees and entrance fees (if applicable).
